Celebrating CHRISTMAS IN JULY with Christmas cheer everywhere. All stalls will be dressed for Christmas. Kids can enter a Christmas colouring competition and win a SMIGGLE gift voucher. A good time to start Christmas shopping.
The annual PRELOVED BABY AND CHRILDREN’S MARKET is on Saturday 22 October. Over 40 stalls with mums selling their preloved items. Come along and bag some bargains or book a stall for only $20. Keep this date on your calendar.
Christmas is the biggest market of the year and it happens on Saturday 10 December. Handmade gifts for family, friends and even for teachers. Gifts you won’t find in the big shopping centres. Come along and support these wonderful artisans and crafty people.
Diamond Village Shopping Centre – MURAL
Banyule City Council together with Greensborough Secondary College students have produced a graffiti mural on the wall of the shopping centre. If you look carefully it reads “DIAMOND VILLAGE”. The mural has created visual interest in the community and helped the problem of graffiti around the shopping centre.
Diamond Village Shopping Centre – BINS
Banyule City Council together with Watsonia Heights Primary School students have created created artwork and placed on all the council bins along the shopping centre. The centre looks colourful with their inspiring artwork of their local community. Lots of drawings of the park opposite the shopping centre. Come and have a look.
Little Free Library
A Little Free Library has been installed in the Arcade of the shopping centre (near the noticeboard). This is a free book swap for the community with books for all ages. The little free library was initiated by the shopping centre, built by Banyule Men’s Shed and artwork by a local face painter. Happy reading!
